Qualifications
Education: High School Diploma or GED
Experience: 5 years of hospitality server experience
Skills: Provide warm, knowledgeable, and approachable service in a fast-paced wine bar environment
Confidently guide guests through the wine list with clear, guest-friendly descriptions and pairing suggestions
Demonstrate solid foundational wine knowledge (grapes, regions, styles, basic structure)
Execute proper wine service: opening, pouring, glassware, temperature, and storage
Read and adapt to guest preferences, experience levels, and occasions
Upsell responsibly through thoughtful recommendations (by-the-glass, bottles, pairings)
Maintain strong floor service skills: order flow, pacing, POS, and teamwork
Ensure compliance with all alcohol service laws and company standards
Show curiosity, professionalism, and a desire to continue learning about wine
Required
Must be at least 21 years of age.
Required Work Cards needed: Valid Clark County Health Card, Valid Las Vegas Alcohol Awareness Card (TAM Card), WSET/Sommelier Level 1
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain a strong guest-focused approach while performing all assigned duties, ensuring a welcoming, attentive, and professional dining experience at all times.
- Organize, clean, and maintain beverage stations, side stations, storage areas, and all related equipment and supplies to support daily service operations.
- Accurately take food and beverage orders from guests and communicate requests clearly to all relevant departments.
- Serve food, alcoholic, and non-alcoholic beverages in accordance with the Company’s service standards, presentation guidelines, and quality expectations.
- Depending on the outlet, record food and beverage orders accurately into the Micros POS system and present checks to guests for payment.
- Possess full knowledge of the menu and/or buffet offerings and confidently answer guest questions regarding ingredients, preparation, or availability.
- Verify all food and beverage orders for accuracy, quality, and presentation before serving to guests.
- Request and verify proper identification when there is any doubt about a guest’s legal age prior to serving alcoholic beverages, in compliance with applicable laws.
- Follow instructions from supervisors and management, asking questions or requesting clarification as needed to ensure accurate execution of duties.
- Complete required side work and restock supplies as needed throughout the shift to ensure continuous, efficient guest service.
- Carry out all reasonable requests and additional duties as assigned by management, within the scope of the associate’s capabilities and role.
Essential Job Functions
- Work in a (type of location, i.e., office, kitchen, restaurant, casino, etc.) environment and in other locations throughout the property.
- Tolerant to varying conditions of noise level, temperature, illumination and air quality.
- Interact professionally with management, applicants, associates, and guests.
- Communicate clearly and effectively with guests and coworkers.
- Stand and maintain mobility for prolonged periods.
- Perform frequent bending and reaching.
- Transport, push, pull, and maneuver items up to 50 lbs., and lift items up to 35 lbs.
- Stand and/or walk for extended periods (five hours or more).
- Maintain strong hand-eye coordination.
- Wear assigned pool uniforms, including bathing suits or other approved pool attire.
- Operate standard office and POS equipment (e.g., Micros System).
- Perform basic math calculations.
- Distinguish letters, numbers, and symbols accurately.
- Read, understand, and comply with all policies, procedures, job descriptions, daily memorandums, and chemical safety labels (MSDS).
- Work safely with and around cleaning chemicals.
