Sommelier
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborating with chefs to perfectly match wines, spirits
- Curating the restaurant's wine list, sourcing bottles from distributors, and managing inventory and storage
- Educating servers, bartenders, and other front-of-house staff on wine regions, flavors, and proper service techniques
- Employee training, development, & review
- Delegation of Work Safety & Emergency Procedures
- Enforcement of Job Descriptions
- Job Performance Reviews
- Staff Morale
- Department scheduling
- Organization of documented employee files
- Rewarding & Disciplining employees
- Complete payroll on a daily basis
- Managing department costs within budgetary goals which include food, beverage, and labor costs
Key Qualifications
- Three years Food & Beverage management in luxury world class hotel
- Three years technical Food & Beverage experience and/or equivalent combination of education & experience
- Previous employee management in Local 6 union environment
- Primary quality detailed service ethic
- Strong interpersonal staff and guest relations
- Team minded approach to fellow workers
- Ability to apply commons sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
- Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
Pay & Benefits
The salary range for this position is $85K - $90K. This position is incentivized through a bonus program tied to budgeted wine sales performance.

Qualifications
- Three years Food & Beverage management in luxury world class hotel
