About the role

Cultivate a one-of-a-kind wine list, pairing guests with exceptional food and precisely chosen wines. This role drives guest satisfaction, sales, and profitability while upholding the highest standards of wine service.

Responsibilities

• Support the management team in developing and implementing the strategic vision for the wine program.
• Provide leadership and direction in executing and measuring guest service standards within wine and beverage operations.
• Maintain the integrity of the wine program through frequent quality checks of opened wines by the glass.
• Maintain complete knowledge of:
  • All brand characteristics and descriptions of every wine, champagne, and bottle selection.
  • Designated glassware and garnishes for drinks.
  • All bar menu items, including preparation methods, portion sizes, presentation, and pricing.
• Assist in training staff on beverage knowledge and systems related to wine.
• Attend wine and beverage tastings and seminars for continuing education and program development.

Requirements

• At least two years of experience in a comparable fine dining environment.
• In-depth knowledge of wine, cocktail, and beer menus, with the ability to service them professionally.
• Ability to work without direct supervision.

Pay

Targeted compensation is $27/hour plus commissions.
