Solutions Engineer - East Coast

About the role

This role will lead technical work focused on cloud-enabled scalability, reliability, and delivery excellence. You will partner with business, technical, and operational stakeholders to build reporting, surface trends, and translate analysis into action. The position offers the opportunity to strengthen data-driven execution and help teams focus on the metrics that matter most within a technology-driven environment.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Responsibilities

• Lead technical discovery sessions to understand customer needs
• Design and deliver tailored solution architectures and demos
• Advise on use case patterns through customer workshops
• Collaborate with internal teams to define technical selling strategies
• Convert customer feedback into actionable product development items
• Promote open-source data ecosystems and solutions within the community
• Engage in evangelism activities like blogs and industry events

Qualifications

• 5+ years in a pre-sales customer facing role (Solutions Engineer, Sales Engineer, etc.)
• Experience with technical discovery and building proof-of-concepts
• Familiarity with public cloud infrastructures (AWS, Azure, GCP, etc.)
• Knowledge of the Apache Hadoop ecosystem and its components
• Basic understanding of Data Lakes and Data Warehousing principles
• Experience with data flow and stream processing technologies (Nifi, Kafka, Flink)
• Basic software development skills in languages like Java, Scala, or Python

Pay

$150,000 – $180,000 annually
