About the role

The Solutions Consultant, VXretail, plays a critical role in the presales lifecycle by designing and delivering compelling, outcome-driven solution experiences that showcase the value of VertexOne’s VXretail platform. This role serves as a strategic partner to Sales and a trusted advisor to prospects, translating complex utility customer engagement and billing challenges into measurable business value.

Essential Job Duties

• Design and deliver tailored VXretail solution experiences aligned to customer objectives.
• Deliver initial demonstrations with Sales and partner with Product SMEs for technology-driven shortlist opportunities.
• Translate retail energy mid-to-back-office challenges into compelling value narratives.
• Partner with Sales on discovery, messaging, and presentation strategy.
• Deliver story-driven demonstrations to technical, operational, financial, and executive audiences.
• Develop reusable presentation assets and continuously improve demonstration flows.
• Collaborate with Product, Marketing, and Customer Success teams as appropriate.

Job Requirements / Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in retail utility presales, solution consulting, or sales engineering roles.
• Retail utility domain knowledge required, including CIS, billing, transaction management, and customer engagement.
• SaaS demonstration experience required.
• Strong communication and value-based storytelling skills.
