Solutions Architect, WWPS Global Defense Partners

About the role

As a Solutions Architect within the AWS WWPS Partner team, you will have the opportunity to help shape and deliver on a strategy to build broad use of AWS services including AI/ML, high-performance computing (HPC), advanced analytics, digital engineering, and manufacturing systems modernization directly with our ecosystem of defense-sector systems integrators, consulting and technology partners.

Responsibilities

• Owning the technical engagement and ultimate success around specific implementation projects
• Defining implementation architectures across compute, data, machine learning, and operational tooling
• Responding to RFPs
• Developing deep expertise in AWS technologies as well as broad know-how around how applications and services are constructed using the AWS platform
• Serving as a subject matter expert on defense industry workflows, compliance frameworks (FedRAMP, CMMC, DoD SRG), and the unique technical challenges of mission-critical environments

Requirements

• 2+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience
• 4+ years of specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics) experience
• 3+ years of infrastructure architecture, database architecture and networking experience
• A current, active US Government Security Clearance of Top Secret or above

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree
• Experience in technology/software sales, pre-sales, or consulting
• 5+ years of infrastructure architecture, database architecture and networking experience
• Experience with AI/ML, HPC, digital engineering, advanced manufacturing, or data engineering workloads on AWS
• Familiarity with defense compliance frameworks (FedRAMP, CMMC, DoD SRG, ITAR)
