Solutions Architect II, AWS National Security Solutions Architecture Team
About the role
As a Solutions Architect on AWS National Security Team, you will serve as a trusted technical advisor to AWS customers in the Intelligence Community. This is a high visibility role where you collaborate with, and influence, both external stakeholders and internal AWS teams including sales and platform engineering.
Responsibilities
- Architect cloud-based solutions in response to complex technical challenges
- In partnership with the sales team, formulate and execute a technical sales strategy to achieve revenue objectives through the adoption of AWS
- Ensure success in building and migrating applications, software and services to AWS
- Educate customers of all sizes on the value proposition of AWS, and participate in deep architectural discussions to ensure geospatial solutions are designed for successful deployment in the cloud
- Capture and share best-practice knowledge amongst the AWS solutions architect community
- Author or otherwise contribute to AWS customer-facing publications such as whitepapers and other reusable content
- Build deep relationships with senior technical individuals within customers to enable them to be cloud advocates
- Act as a technical liaison between customers, service engineering teams and support
Requirements
The ideal candidate must be self-motivated with a proven track record in software/technology sales or consulting. The ability to connect technology with measurable business value is critical to a solutions architect. You should also have a demonstrated ability to think strategically about business, products, and technical challenges.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience
- 4+ years of specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics) experience
- 5+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting in the software or Internet industries experience
- Bachelor's degree, or CASP+ (CompTIA Advanced Security Practitioner) or CCSP (Certified Cloud Security Professional) or Cloud+ or CSSLP (Certified Secure Software Lifecycle Professional)
- A current, active TS/SCI US Government Security Clearance

Pay
The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs).
Schedule
This position can have periods of up to 20% travel.
