About the role

The Sr Manager Solutions Architect is an experienced and seasoned Solutions Architect with a broad range of technical skills and a deep understanding of software design patterns and technologies used in complex solution development. This individual will have experience in the full software development life cycle and in designing and rolling out complex IT solutions. In addition to serving as a subject matter expert and guiding technical design and code development across multiple concurrent major projects, this role includes direct management responsibilities, providing mentorship, oversight, and technical leadership to ensure high-quality delivery. They may also serve as a hands-on technical lead in implementing key solutions.

Responsibilities

• Technical Lead – Create high-level architectural specifications and initial design for solutions; lead or oversee implementation of key initiatives; provide direct management and oversight of technical team members to ensure high-quality execution.
• New Product Development – Define new product requirements ensuring feasibility, functionality, and integration with existing systems and platforms.
• Knowledge Lead – Proactively transfer knowledge, coach, and mentor development and architecture teams on technologies, systems, and business processes.
• Promote Development Standards – Champion software principles, strategies, and architectures as defined by the Enterprise Architect (Git, archiving process, JIRA, web technologies, etc.); identify improvement recommendations to achieve best practices and high performance.
• Technology Research – Research and evaluate commercial technology solutions and consumer product process trends to identify opportunities for improvement across the enterprise.
• Assembly and presentation of technical information and trends to the Enterprise Architect; assist in communicating to project teams and leadership where needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree (4 years).
• Knowledge acquired through 5 to 7 years of work experience.
• Ability to successfully complete technical assessments demonstrating expertise in full-stack web development using technologies such as Angular, Node.js, SQL, and Git.
• Proficiency with Linux environments and familiarity with AI technologies.
• Prior architecture or lead developer experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Information Technology.
• Prior people leadership or management experience.
