POSITION SUMMARY

The Solution Architect II (SA II) role within the Implementations team independently designs and documents end-to-end solutions for CareMetx products and services. This role translates client program needs into operationally feasible, compliant, and scalable hub workflows with minimal guidance, applying growing expertise in solution design and healthcare hub operations. The SA II leads program discovery activities, drives the Implementation SOW process, and serves as a reliable solution contributor from Sales through Implementation go-live, while actively pursuing Senior SA responsibilities, competencies, and skills.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Independently defines technical program solutions, timelines, and scope for standard CMTX offerings, with a solid understanding of client goals and CMTX organizational strategy.
  • Pairs with Product Management and Commercial team to coordinate cost/pricing inputs for the pricing model during the opportunity deal stage, ensuring costs submitted reflect solution scope, complexity, and staffing requirements.
  • Maps client requirements to standard hub operational capabilities, technology platforms, and workflows.
  • Designs end-to-end operational workflows covering all medical, pharmacy, and adherence services, including but not limited to: patient enrollment, benefits verification, prior authorization, copay assistance, and ongoing patient engagement.
  • Pairs with Product Management to identify gaps between client expectations and standard CMTX offerings; documents assumptions, constraints, out-of-scope items, and feasibility risks.
  • Pairs with Product Management to support proposal development, client presentations, and early solution demonstrations.
  • Leads requirements intake and workflow design sessions with internal operational, technical, and compliance stakeholders.
  • Produces and maintains configuration documents, workflow diagrams, and other materials required for program configuration.
  • Facilitates program design reviews and obtains internal and external review and signature for the Program Rules Document.
  • Serves as a solution contributor and emerging subject matter expert throughout Sales and completion of Implementation, actively pursuing Senior SA responsibilities, competencies, and skills.
  • Serves as a point of escalation for client escalations during implementation, related to solution and scope management, escalating complex issues to senior architects as appropriate.
  • Maintains regular and reliable attendance, including being present, on time, and prepared for work as scheduled.
  • Other duties as assigned - Duties, responsibilities, and activities may change or new ones may be assigned at any time with or without notice.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in IT technology, software implementation, solution design, or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in pharmaceutical, medical device, biotech, or healthcare hub services industries.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field or technology.
  • Experience in healthcare operations, patient support hubs, reimbursement services, or healthcare solution design.
  • Solid knowledge of hub, pharmacy, and/or adherence services.
  • Systems thinking mindset with the ability to see how products, services, and other attributes fit together and impact the overall solution design.
  • Ability to translate client and patient needs into structured operational and system requirements.
  • Experience documenting workflows, business requirements, and system configurations.
  • Strong stakeholder facilitation and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Experience supporting RFPs, proposals, or client solution demos preferred.
  • Ability to communicate at all levels with clarity and precision, both written and verbally.

Schedule

Must be flexible on schedule and hours. Some Travel may be required.
