Solutions Architect (Data & Systems Integration)

Essential Functions
- Perform system and interface testing to ensure seamless data flow and compatibility across platforms, leveraging API development and testing tools such as Postman.
- Ensure integrations comply with firm policies, data security protocols, and API security best practices.
- Analyze technical aspects of existing workflows and identify opportunities for automation using scripting languages such as JavaScript or Python.
- Design and maintain integrations and solutions within cloud-based platforms such as Azure, AWS, etc.
- Build repeatable processes for transforming client data for tax returns, audits, and financial reporting.
- Maintain system performance and implement measures to safeguard sensitive financial data.
- Participate in planning sessions for new tools and upgrades, providing input on integration feasibility as prioritized in the operational enterprise roadmap.
- Review technical documents with IT to ensure business requirements are adequately reflected in technical planning documents.
- Provide Tier 2 support for integration-related issues, including diagnosing and resolving system errors.
- Collaborate with IT Operations and practitioner teams to ensure timely resolution of technical problems.
- Document integration processes and maintain updated technical guides for internal users.
- Continuously analyze and look for new ideas (innovate), task efficiency and process improvement.
- Design and transform data collections to be optimized for accessibility, scalability and accuracy.
- Ensure enterprise tools and resources are built to keep pace with business goals. Keep up with feature and functionality changes. Research and recommend upgrades or platform changes as appropriate.
- Aid in designing and development of new reports, programs, and data models.
- Assist in maintenance of data inventory and upkeep of standard definitions.
- Establish annual goals in line with the overall team and firm.
- Meet regularly with the project team for post implementation reviews, active project updates and to discuss alignment with enterprise endeavors.
- Absorb special projects and other duties as assigned by the department director and routinely meet to keep apprised of operational and governance initiatives.
- Absorb assist in triaging IT support tickets when required.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business, or related field; or a combination of education and directly related work experience.
- 5+ years of experience with increasing levels of responsibility in accounting systems or system integrations.
- Demonstrated experience in scripting languages: JavaScript and/or Python.
- Experience with API development and testing tools (e.g., Postman).
- Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or similar) and understanding of API security principles.
- Familiarity with accounting software preferred, (e.g., CaseWare, GoSystem, CCH), and integrations tools (e.g., Datablend or other middleware).
- Knowledge of a professional services environment and accounting services industry preferred.
Salary Range
$101,640 minimum to $152,646 maximum USD
