About the role
Amazon Web Services is looking for a highly motivated Solutions Architect to help accelerate our growing Public Sector practice. This role involves owning the technical engagement around specific implementation projects, providing best practices to customers, developing deep expertise in AWS technologies, and being a subject matter expert on security.
Responsibilities
- Owning the technical engagement around specific implementation projects
- Providing best practices to customers
- Developing deep expertise in AWS technologies and how applications and services are constructed using the AWS platform
- Being a subject matter expert on security as it relates to customer applications and services
- Leading efforts to capture and share best-practices within the AWS Solution Architect community
- Working with a world-class sales and business development team to help shape and deliver a strategy to build broad use of Amazon's utility computing web services
Requirements
This position requires that the candidate selected be a US Citizen.
This role requires the ability to travel 30%.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience
- 4+ years of specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics) experience
- 5+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting in the software or Internet industries experience
- Bachelor's degree, or CASP+ (CompTIA Advanced Security Practitioner) or CCSP (Certified Cloud Security Professional) or Cloud+ or CSSLP (Certified Secure Software Lifecycle Professional)

The salary range for this role is $120,000 - $180,000 annually, depending on experience and location.
