About the role

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a highly motivated Solutions Architect to help accelerate the growth of its Public Sector practice. This role involves owning the technical engagement around specific implementation projects, providing best practices to customers, and developing deep expertise in AWS technologies.

Responsibilities

• Owning the technical engagement around specific implementation projects
• Providing best practices to customers
• Developing deep expertise in AWS technologies and how applications and services are constructed using the AWS platform
• Being a subject matter expert on security as it relates to customer applications and services
• Leading efforts to capture and share best-practices within the AWS Solution Architect community
• Working with a world-class sales and business development team to help establish AWS as a leading technology platform
• Helping customers to design and create cloud computing architectures

Qualifications

• 8+ years of specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics) experience
• 3+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience
• 10+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting in the software or Internet industries experience
• 5+ years of infrastructure architecture, database architecture and networking experience
• Experience working with end user or developer communities
