Responsibilities
- Lead the creation of conceptual and logical architecture solutions for assigned initiatives, including portal solutions and interfaces.
- Develop architectures covering software, hardware, communication flows, and integration points to support both initial requirements and future needs.
- Translate business requirements into solution designs spanning applications, integrations, APIs, data flows, infrastructure, and security.
- Partner with business and IT stakeholders to ensure architecture decisions are grounded in business value and technical feasibility.
- Drive architecture decisions in collaboration with Enterprise Architects, Engineering Leads, and delivery teams.
- Anticipate and address non-functional requirements such as performance, resiliency, security, and scalability.
Requirements
- Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field is required.
- Experience: Candidates must have 5+ years of solution architecture experience with service-oriented and application-centric solutions. A minimum of 10+ years of overall IT experience is required, including at least 5 years in software development or application architecture.

- Technical Skills: Solution Architecture, cloud experience (AWS or GCP), and microservices.
- Experience designing a range of solution types, including new system builds, legacy modernization, and COTS/SaaS integrations.
- Proficiency in solution design patterns, architecture methods, and modern application/integration approaches.
- Experience with Agile Lean Architecture and operating in iterative delivery environments.
- Strong understanding of API design (REST, SOAP, GraphQL), event-driven architecture (e.g., Kafka), and distributed integration patterns.
- Familiarity with modern application development landscapes including Java, Angular, and React.
Qualifications
- Personable with strong collaboration and communication skills, with an ability to build rapport across business and technical teams.
- Demonstrated ability to provide technical leadership and communicate technical options effectively to stakeholders.

- Experience in Pharmacy Benefit Management (PBM), healthcare, Medicaid, or other highly regulated domains.
- Experience supporting claims adjudication or other high-volume transactional healthcare platforms.
