Solution Architect - Java

About the role

The position is located onsite at our client locations in Pittsburgh, Cleveland, or Dallas. Employer sponsorship of immigration-related visa and/or green card status as part of the PERM process is not available.

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical solution for the team's proofs-of-concept, prototypes, and eventual end products or solutions.
• Collaborate with client stakeholders, third-party partners, fintechs, software vendors, and academia to design and build innovative prototypes and solutions addressing real-time issues and advancing core business practices.
• Interact with business sponsors and serve as a liaison between business and technical teams to ensure the technical delivery meets business needs.
• Regularly take abstract, early-stage product or solution concepts and build them with technology.
• Work alongside a strong design thinking team and be an expert in using technology to advocate for the customer.
• Facilitate software ideation and design sessions to rapidly identify solutions, align stakeholders, and drive timely and achievable results.
• Lead the overall design of cross-functional, multi-platform, and web-based application systems; oversee all application system processes.
• Develop application architecture and blueprints reflecting enterprise business logic; define application components, platforms, interfaces, and development tools.
• Direct mapping activities on specific technology platforms; provide technical guidance to application development teams.
• Consult on integration and conversion activities; conduct reviews and analyses of organizational needs and goals to develop and implement applications.

Requirements

• 9+ years of experience in architecture, design, and development of end-to-end Java full-stack applications with Java 11, Springboot, Angular 8+, MongoDB, RESTful/SOAP web services, and web-based applications.
• Hands-on development and delivery experience with multiple programming languages, primarily Java, Springboot, and with working knowledge of others including JavaScript, Angular, Node.
• Expertise with cloud-based infrastructure and architecture solutions, including Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services, and Google Cloud Platform.
• Proven success facilitating software design and ideation sessions.
• Demonstrated understanding of relational and NoSQL database models, and "big data" analysis tools and techniques.

Qualifications

• To be successful in this role, candidates must have hands-on development and delivery experience with multiple programming languages, primarily Java, Springboot, and with working knowledge of others including JavaScript, Angular, Node.
• Must have cloud-based infrastructure and architecture solutions, including Microsoft Azure / Amazon Web Services / Google Cloud Platform.
• Must have proven success facilitating software design and ideation sessions.
• Must have demonstrated understanding of relational and NoSQL database models, and "big data" analysis tools and techniques.

Skills

• Modern, Agile-based application development methodologies and emerging technologies like microservices, API management, web-scale architectures, DevOps engineering, container-based delivery, cloud automation, continuous integration (CI), and CD.

Pay

A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $89,600.00 - $156,700.00. CGI's benefits include:
