Responsibilities
- Define and execute the architecture vision, strategy, and capability roadmaps for identity management, authentication and authorization, directory services, threat and vulnerability management, system audit, information protection, fraud prevention, and GRC.
- Provide overall architectural leadership for Security across NiSource and drive the future state of Cyber Security and Compliance Technologies.
- Develop and evolve the Security architecture function, governance structure, standards, frameworks, patterns, procedures, and communication plans.
- Analyze Security business drivers, technology trends, and market developments to develop architecture requirements and assess potential security impacts.
- Build and manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including IT, business leaders, operations teams, service providers, physical security teams, and government agencies.
- Partner with IT Operations and Operations Technology teams on incident and problem management, performance issues, and strategies for securing control and SCADA networks.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in Information Technology and/or Security capabilities.
- Strong competency in Security practices across Business, Application, Information, and Technical Architecture.
- Experience developing future state architectures and practical roadmaps to achieve them.
- Strong communication, influence, negotiation, leadership, and self-prioritization skills.
Nice-to-Have Experience
- Working knowledge of NIST, CIP, NERC, FERC, and other energy industry security standards and best practices.
- Security certifications, business process re-engineering, ITIL, or experience with legacy and modern computing architectures.
- Experience developing multi-year strategic IT plans, managing service providers, or leading enterprise-wide security initiatives.
