About the role
We're looking for an experienced Oracle Solution Architect to act as the Lead Architect for a complex Oracle ERP Managed Service within a major UK Government environment. This is a senior, hands-on architecture leadership role, responsible for owning end-to-end solution design across Oracle SaaS, PaaS, and IaaS, ensuring all changes and solutions are secure, supportable, and aligned to UK Government architectural and security standards.
Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end solution architecture across Oracle Fusion (ERP, HCM, EPM, SCM)
- Lead the design of Oracle Cloud integrations across OIC, OCI, VBCS, ADB, and OAC
- Act as the senior technical authority within Design Authority forums
- Produce and present architecture/design documentation and System Change Requests
- Ensure all solutions align to Secure by Design and Technology Code of Practice principles
- Embed security-by-design principles (RBAC, least privilege, audit, encryption, logging)
- Oversee integration architecture across SaaS, PaaS, IaaS, and third-party systems
- Ensure designs are deliverable within a managed service operating model
- Support evergreen Oracle updates and quarterly release impact assessments
- Provide technical leadership across Oracle functional and technical teams
Requirements
- Active SC Clearance (essential)
- UK Citizen, able to work on-site as required
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Lead Oracle Solution Architect in complex enterprise environments
- Strong hands-on experience with Oracle Fusion Cloud (ERP, HCM, EPM)
- Deep knowledge of Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) and OCI architecture
- Experience designing end-to-end integration and data architectures
- Background in UK Government or highly regulated environments (preferred)
- Strong track record presenting and securing approval at Design Authority level
- Ability to balance architectural governance with pragmatic delivery constraints
