Solution Architect, AWS WWPS GSI Partners

About the role

AWS is looking for a Solutions Architect to support our Worldwide Public Sector (WWPS) Global Systems Integrators (GSIs) and shape opportunities for our government customers. This role is located in the DC area.

Responsibilities

• Owning the technical engagement and ultimate success around specific implementation projects
• Defining implementation architectures
• Assisting partners respond to RFPs
• Developing a deep expertise in the AWS technologies
• Broad know-how around how applications and services are constructed using the AWS platform
• Subject matter expert on security as it relates to customer applications and services
• Leading efforts to capture and share best-practice knowledge with the AWS solution architect community
• Collaborating with a world-class sales and business development team

Requirements

• 2+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience
• 4+ years of specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics) experience
• 4+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting in the software or Internet industries experience

Qualifications

• Experience working within software development or Internet-related industries
• Experience migrating or transforming legacy customer solutions to the cloud
• Experience working with AWS technologies from a dev/ops perspective

Pay

Base salary range: $131,300.00 - $177,600.00 USD annually
