Solution Architect

Job Title: Solution Architect Location: New York City Downtown Duration: 1-2 years Position Type: Hybrid Role Summary We are seeking a highly skilled Solution Architect to join our team in the heart of New York City. As a Solution Architect, you will play a crucial role in redesigning solutions related to Java and Microservices for a leading player in the credit card industry, handling millions of transactions. The ideal candidate should possess extensive experience in designing new solutions or reengineering existing applications, taking complete ownership of the process from end to end. Key Responsibilities Solution Redesign: Lead the redesign of Java and Microservices solutions to meet the evolving needs of the credit card industry, ensuring scalability, performance, and security.End-to-End Ownership: Take complete ownership of the solution lifecycle, from conceptualization and design to implementation, testing, and deployment.Collaborative Approach: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, engineers, and business stakeholders, to gather requirements and ensure alignment with business objectives.Architectural Guidance: Provide architectural guidance and best practices to ensure the solutions meet industry standards and Mastercard's quality benchmarks.Performance Optimization: Identify and address performance bottlenecks and scalability challenges within the existing applications.Security: Implement robust security measures to protect sensitive financial data and ensure compliance with industry regulations. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field (Master's degree preferred).Proven experience as a Solution Architect with a focus on Java and Microservices.Strong understanding of the credit card industry, including transaction processing and security requirements.Demonstrated ability to design and implement complex, scalable solutions.Proficiency in architectural patterns, best practices, and design principles.Experience with cloud technologies (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus.Excellent communication and collaboration skills.Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.Problem-solving mindset and a commitment to delivering high-quality solutions.Valid work authorization in the United States.
