Responsibilities
- Lead the technical design and hands-on build of custom solution components, from concept to deployment.
- Collaborate closely with Engagement Managers, Developers, and other Solution Architects to deliver comprehensive, end-to-end solutions.
- Develop and articulate high-level and mid-level architectural documentation, ensuring clarity and alignment across technical and business teams.
- Contribute to a mission-critical mid-tier production environment, ensuring system stability, performance, and reliability.
- Engage with multiple stakeholders across various departments in a dynamic and complex organizational setting, fostering strong relationships and understanding diverse needs.
Requirements
- 6-10 years of experience in a comparable technical role, with a significant portion as an application architect or lead designer within a large-scale enterprise.
- Profound understanding of web architecture, J2EE, messaging middleware, application integration, and development tooling.
- Extensive hands-on development experience deploying large, distributed systems across multiple platforms.
- Proficiency with various Java Application Servers (e.g., Websphere, Weblogic, JBoss) and core technologies such as XML, MQ, JSP, JNDI, JMS, EJB, JDBC.
- Experience with database integration, including Oracle, and successfully integrating with legacy applications.
- Solid grasp of object-oriented system architectures, including use cases, Unified Modeling Language (UML), and Rational Unified Process (RUP).
- Demonstrated ability to write clear, concise, and comprehensive high-level and mid-level architectural documentation.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholders in a complex environment.
- Awareness of emerging technologies and industry standards, with a proactive approach to learning and adaptation.
Nice to have
- Experience in building robust frameworks for Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) or Web Services initiatives.
