Solid Waste Technician

About the role

The Solid Waste Technician I supports the City's recycling operations. Key responsibilities include assisting the public with uploading recycling materials from vehicles, operating forklifts as needed to load and prepare trailers for transportation of packaged recyclables, operating and maintaining light to heavy equipment, and providing support to other departments and the general public on recycling and solid waste issues.

Responsibilities

• Assists the public with uploading recycling materials from vehicles
• Operates forklift as needed to load and prepare trailers for transportation of packaged recyclables
• Operates and maintains light to heavy equipment
• Provides support to other departments and the general public on recycling and solid waste issues

Requirements

• A valid Wyoming driver license is required
• This position must be able to obtain a commercial driver license (CDL) within 6 months
