The Role
The Role
Key Responsibilities
- Handling a varied case load of Commercial Litigation matters consisting of Contract claims and disputes, Shareholder actions, disputes with company directors, Partnership disputes, Breach of warranty, Professional negligence, Commercial supply contracts disputes, Media and PR disputes, non-disclosure and restrictive covenant breaches, working with public sector clients.
- Providing clear written and verbal legal advice, and managing communications with clients, opponents, Courts/Tribunals and third parties to progress files.
- Scoping and onboarding new enquiries, contributing to business planning, and collaborating across departments on joint files, projects and events.
- Supporting the wider team by assisting colleagues on cases, contributing to departmental objectives, and collaborating across departments on joint matters and projects.
- Contributing to continuous improvement and the development of the departmental business plan.
- Building strong client and stakeholder relationships, enhancing the Firm’s profile, and supporting business development.
About You
- Be a qualified Solicitor, with NQ-2 years PQE.
- Demonstrates interest and proven experience in Commercial Litigation, including working within litigation teams, managing litigation processes, and advising on a range of litigation matters.
- Previous experience of dealing with commercial litigation matters and cases.
- Demonstrates good client care skills, providing professional and competent legal advice in accordance with SRA Code of Conduct.
- Demonstrates excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Previous experience in managing a busy caseload and meeting deadlines while achieving fee targets and contributing effectively within a team.
