The Vacancy
Slater & Gordon is currently recruiting for an experienced Solicitor to join our award-winning Clinical Negligence team.
We are looking for a qualified individual with Clinical Negligence experience who has a background in managing their own caseload. The ideal candidate will work alongside our support staff of Paralegals and Legal Assistants, providing an excellent service to our clients, offering a high level of care, and having experience running matters through to trial and handling complex casework.

Responsibilities
- Manage a caseload of complex Clinical Negligence cases, including misdiagnosis, failure to diagnose, spinal injuries, brain injuries, surgical errors, and incorrect treatments.
- Work closely with support staff to manage client relationships and ensure high-quality service delivery.
- Prepare and present cases to court, ensuring thorough documentation and adherence to legal standards.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless case management and client satisfaction.
- Contribute to the development and improvement of the Clinical Negligence practice area.
Requirements
- Qualified Solicitor with relevant Clinical Negligence experience.
- Experience managing a caseload independently.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to handle complex and sensitive cases with professionalism and empathy.
Qualifications
- Law degree from a recognized institution.
- Current practicing certificate in Clinical Negligence.
- Experience in managing clinical negligence cases.
- Knowledge of relevant legislation and case law.
Skills
- Strong legal research and writing skills.
- Effective negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
- Excellent client relationship management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal software.

Schedule
Permanent, Full-Time, 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with a hybrid working arrangement.
