Solicitor

Full-time permanent position based at County Hall, Nottingham, NG2 7QP.

We are seeking an experienced and qualified Solicitor or Barrister to join our dynamic Legal Services team. This role focuses on providing expert legal advice and representation, particularly in Civil Litigation and Dispute Management. You will handle complex cases, including Adult Social Care debt recovery, commercial disputes, and property litigation.

Responsibilities

• Provide legal advice and guidance to internal and external clients.
• Represent Nottinghamshire County Council in civil litigation matters.
• Manage complex cases related to Adult Social Care, commercial disputes, and property litigation.
• Collaborate with colleagues to enhance service delivery and outcomes.
• Keep up-to-date with relevant legislation and local government frameworks.

Requirements

• Law degree or equivalent qualification.
• Experience in Civil Litigation and Dispute Management.
• Knowledge of local government law and statutory frameworks.
• Familiarity with areas such as criminal litigation and employment law is advantageous but not essential.
