About the role

The Solar Technician III is one of the most experienced employees in the field, responsible for leading and training any team members assigned to the team. Key responsibilities include:

  • Demonstrate integrity, strong initiative, work ethic, as well as a focus on safety and quality of work on a continuous basis
  • Supervise, lead, and train any Solar Technician I or Solar Technician II team member assigned to work with the Solar Technician III
  • Perform Preventive Maintenance on solar and battery installations in accordance with Cleanleaf, customer, and OEM standards
  • Perform Corrective Maintenance on solar and battery installations in accordance with Cleanleaf, customer, and OEM standards, ensuring that the root cause has been identified and corrected
  • Ensure that work being performed in the area meets or exceeds Cleanleaf O&M standards
  • Complete assigned tasks safely, correctly, and within the allotted time
  • Ensure all PPE, tools, and equipment assigned to the employee are accounted for, maintained in good condition, repaired or replaced as required
  • Interface with SCADA/DAS systems to understand onsite issues and communicate with both management and customers
  • Correctly document all work in a Service Visit and Case within Cleanleaf’s CMMS. Documentation includes proper grammar and spelling, photography, thermal photography, and completion of checklists
  • Provide technical support for customer issues as requested
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as may be determined by the Area Supervisor or Regional Manager

Responsibilities

Position responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

Safety Duties & Responsibilities

Safety is a core value at Cleanleaf, and the Solar Technician III must:

  • Read, understand and sign all safety procedures
  • Attend weekly safety meetings
  • Receive, inspect, and maintain all required PPE
  • Maintain all required safety training
  • Report every safety incident known to the employee timely and accurately
  • Investigate every safety incident involving the employee fully, document, and implement corrective actions
