Solar Technician 1
Responsibilities
- Performs corrective, preventive, and emergency maintenance and operations for which they are qualified to safely and efficiently perform.
- Performs other technical and administrative duties associated with operating and maintaining a power facility.
- Ensures work is performed in accordance with Environmental and Safety requirements.
- Maintains independence and/or works in teams to complete tasks.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree; with one to three years of experience or related education of power plant operation/maintenance or equivalent education and experience.
- Demonstrates basic knowledge of electrical and mechanical fundamentals of PV systems in power facilities.
- Effective interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Knowledge of PC software application, including spreadsheet, word processing and database.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence accurately.
- Ability to communicate orally, use acceptable telephone and radio etiquette necessary to communicate needs.
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts, including percentages, area, circumference and volume.
- Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
- Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
- Effective ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and projects.
