Job Overview
Key Responsibilities
- Drive Sales: Convert general contractor networks (and find new ones) into consistent solar project pipelines.
- Produce Estimates: Create accurate solar project cost estimates & proposals to project scope.
- Manage Accounts: Maintain and deepen long-term partnerships with commercial GCs and Electrical Contractors.
- Review Specifications in ITB: Analyze blueprints for solar layouts, and specifications for bidding.
- Collaborate Daily: Partner with estimators and project management teams.
- Negotiate Contracts: Finalize pricing, scopes of work, and contract terms with General/Prime & Electrical Contractor estimators/decision-makers.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum 5 years in contractor sales or construction material sales. Preferably estimator/sales experience in one of the Trades.
- Network: Active, existing relationships with regional and West Coast general contractors and developers.
- Solar Knowledge: Basic understanding (or ability to learn quick) of photovoltaic (PV) systems, panels, racking, and inverters.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with Microsoft Office Blueprint Reading: Proven ability to accurately interpret architectural and electrical plans.
- Communication: Exceptional negotiation, strategy, presentation, and verbal communication skills.
- Character: Must be self-starter and team player.
- Licensing: Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel locally to project sites.
