Solar Safety Manager

Responsibilities

• Train and implement the SafeStart behavior-based safety program.
• Lead team safety committee meetings and drive participation and accountability.
• Conduct daily job site inspections using Smart Safety Pro.
• Assign corrective actions and follow up to ensure closure.
• Provide guidance on best practices, new product implementation, and field trials.
• Coach and hold the line on safety standards.
• Verify current training status and arrange sessions accordingly.
• Develop and update training presentations and hands-on training materials.
• Coordinate retraining as needed based on training expirations.
• Conduct training sessions including work instructions and competent person training.

Qualifications

• Background in construction safety; solar or renewable energy experience strongly preferred.
• Familiarity with OSHA, DOT, and EPA standards.
• Experience with incident investigation and root cause analysis.
• Strong communication, time management, and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence field personnel.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record required; must be comfortable with site-to-site travel and overnight stays.
