Solar Safety Manager

Responsibilities

• Train and implement the SafeStart behavior-based safety program
• Lead team safety committee meetings and drive participation and accountability
• Conduct daily job site inspections using Smart Safety Pro
• Assign corrective actions and follow up to ensure closure
• Provide guidance on best practices, new product implementation, and field trials
• Coach and hold the line on safety standards
• Verify current training status and arrange sessions accordingly
• Develop and update training presentations and hands-on training materials
• Assess training expirations and coordinate retraining as needed
• Conduct training sessions including work instructions and competent person training

Qualifications

• Background in construction safety; solar or renewable energy experience strongly preferred
• Familiarity with OSHA, DOT, and EPA standards
• Experience with incident investigation and root cause analysis
• Strong communication, time management, and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence field personnel
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record required; must be comfortable with site-to-site travel and overnight stays
