Our client is seeking an experienced Solar Project Manager to lead the successful execution of commercial and industrial solar energy projects from pre-construction through final commissioning and closeout.
Responsibilities
- Manage projects from pre-construction and design coordination through installation, commissioning, and project closeout.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and resource plans.
- Maintain project costs and financial performance to ensure profitability and budget compliance.
- Identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies to minimize delays and cost overruns.
- Provide regular project updates to leadership and clients.
- Coordinate with engineers, subcontractors, vendors, utility companies, clients, and internal teams.
- Oversee procurement activities and monitor material deliveries to support construction schedules.
- Lead project meetings and maintain clear communication with all project stakeholders.
- Support commissioning activities and ensure successful project turnover.
- Conduct routine site visits to monitor construction progress, quality, and safety.
- Ensure compliance with contract requirements, applicable building codes, and company quality standards.
- Manage project documentation including RFIs, submittals, change orders, project schedules, closeout documentation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Project Management, or a related field (preferred)
- 3-7+ years of project management experience in: Commercial Solar, Renewable Energy, Construction, Energy Services
- Experience managing commercial, industrial, or public-sector solar PV projects preferred
- Strong understanding of construction management, scheduling, budgeting, contract administration
- Excellent organizational, leadership, and communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and project management software
- Ability to successfully manage multiple projects simultaneously
- OSHA Certification and/or PMP Certification are a plus
