Our client is seeking an experienced Solar Project Manager to lead the successful execution of commercial and industrial solar energy projects from pre-construction through final commissioning and closeout.

Responsibilities

  • Manage projects from pre-construction and design coordination through installation, commissioning, and project closeout.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and resource plans.
  • Maintain project costs and financial performance to ensure profitability and budget compliance.
  • Identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies to minimize delays and cost overruns.
  • Provide regular project updates to leadership and clients.
  • Coordinate with engineers, subcontractors, vendors, utility companies, clients, and internal teams.
  • Oversee procurement activities and monitor material deliveries to support construction schedules.
  • Lead project meetings and maintain clear communication with all project stakeholders.
  • Support commissioning activities and ensure successful project turnover.
  • Conduct routine site visits to monitor construction progress, quality, and safety.
  • Ensure compliance with contract requirements, applicable building codes, and company quality standards.
  • Manage project documentation including RFIs, submittals, change orders, project schedules, closeout documentation.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Project Management, or a related field (preferred)
  • 3-7+ years of project management experience in: Commercial Solar, Renewable Energy, Construction, Energy Services
  • Experience managing commercial, industrial, or public-sector solar PV projects preferred
  • Strong understanding of construction management, scheduling, budgeting, contract administration
  • Excellent organizational, leadership, and communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and project management software
  • Ability to successfully manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • OSHA Certification and/or PMP Certification are a plus
