Solar Maintenance Technician, Residential Energy Service

The Service Installer is an essential member of Tesla’s Field Energy Operations team, dedicated to accelerating the world’s transition to sustainable energy. Key responsibilities include:

• Serving as a crew member, supporting the Crew Lead and Electrician
• Attending weekly team meetings and mandatory training sessions
• Installing and servicing Tesla’s solar products according to building standards and codes
• Assisting with routine maintenance on energy systems
• Managing time and tasks effectively with a sense of urgency
• Providing exceptional customer service

To succeed in this role, candidates should possess:

• Experience in roof work, general construction, or carpentry
• Proven ability to handle power and hand tools, and materials like ladders, inverters, solar panels, panel boards, batteries, and other electrical equipment
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Excellent attendance record
• Valid driver's license
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Defense Biometric Identification System (DBIDS) military badge
• Willingness to travel for up to 2 weeks at a time, multiple times a year
• Physical capability to work at heights, in extreme environments, perform repetitive tasks, and lift up to 50 pounds frequently
