About the role
The Solar Installation Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting residential solar systems while adhering to safety standards and ensuring high-quality workmanship.
Responsibilities
- Install photovoltaic (PV) systems according to design specifications, manufacturer guidelines, and company standards.
- Work closely with team members, including electricians, project managers, roof lead, and foreman to ensure seamless project execution.
- Execute solo tasks, such as non-roof repairs or maintenance, with minimal supervision while maintaining accountability.
- Identify and resolve system malfunctions, ensuring optimal system performance.
- Follow OSHA safety guidelines and company policies to maintain a safe work environment for yourself and others.
- Perform inspections and testing to verify system performance and ensure all installations meet regulatory requirements.
- Accurately document work completed, materials used, and system specifications for each project.
Requirements
- 1-3 years of solar installation experience (residential or commercial).
- Strong understanding of solar PV systems and their components.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
- Basic electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills.
- Familiarity with hand and power tools.
- Enphase and SolarEdge Certification.
- NABCEP certification or equivalent (a plus).
- OSHA certifications a plus.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work at heights on rooftops or ladders.
- Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Ability to stand, kneel, bend, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis; sponsorship is not available.

Pay
Salary range: $44,970.00 - $71,950.00 (base pay only). This role is eligible for an annual incentive plan based on company performance.
