About the role
The Solar Assistant Project Accountant supports the accounting department at Moss, a national privately held construction firm. This position works closely with the Project Administrator to process payroll, accounts payable, and expense reports for the project site.
Responsibilities
- Work with Project Administrator to review and upload hours worked into the accounting system.
- Liaison with Payroll Department to address and research any errors or changes to weekly and bi-weekly payroll.
- Setup vendors for the project.
- Process and cost code accounts payable invoices for the project site.
- Reconcile monthly statements for project A/PC.
- Collect, manage, and code credit card receipts via CORPAY for project and field personnel.
- Ensure credit card charges are in adherence with company policy and submitted within deadlines.
- Process expense reports for project and field personnel promptly.
- Support Project Accounting team as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Associate degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school.
- 2+ years related experience and/or training in an accounting setting, with experience in construction and accounts payable a strong plus.
- 2+ years of experience working with accounting systems.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- Equivalent combination of education and experience.
Skills
- Strong organizational skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience with accounting software.

Pay
The salary range for this position is $45,000 - $60,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
Schedule
This is a full-time, non-exempt, salaried position.
