About the Role

This position requires a creative, professional trainer with experience delivering training to an adult audience, particularly in software and workforce training. The successful candidate will support the department's mission and work on various projects using formal project management methodologies.

Responsibilities

  • Follow management directives meticulously and seek leadership and guidance from managers.
  • Coordinate, prepare, and present classes, train the trainer workshops, project meetings, demonstrations, and conferences.
  • Manage multiple projects using formal project management methodology and tools.
  • Prepare accurate documents, including correspondence, proposals, briefings, reports, training materials, and project timelines.
  • Build and maintain communication and working relationships with administrative and program staff, community, and coworkers.
  • Deliver a wide variety of technical training to diverse audiences.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Two years of experience in training methods, techniques, and materials related to individual development, education, and training programs.
  • Relevant academic credits may be applied toward experience qualifications.
  • Experience in delivering in-person classroom training and virtual training.
  • Experience teaching software and technical classes.
  • Experience in developing curricula.
  • Experience with current in-person, hybrid, and virtual training.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of training methods, techniques, and materials as related to individual development, education, and training programs.
  • Knowledge of agency operation or programs which included giving group presentations.
  • Experience in training or teaching adults.
  • Experience teaching software and technical classes.
  • Experience in developing curricula.
  • Experience with current in-person, hybrid, and virtual training.

Skills

  • Effective communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects using formal project management methodologies.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with various stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications and other software.
