Software Test Engineer

Responsibilities

• Develop, execute, and automate software tests, including unit, integration, and system-level testing.
• Perform requirements verification and validation with traceability.
• Support hardware/software integration testing in lab environments.
• Collaborate with engineers to troubleshoot defects and support resolution.
• Design automated test frameworks and scripts.
• Support real-time testing within Linux environments.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and development lifecycle activities.
• Document test procedures, plans, and results.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field.

5+ years of experience in software development or test engineering with aerospace and defense programs.

Strong C++ programming experience.

Experience in Linux or real-time operating systems.

Experience with debugging, verification, and test automation.

Ability to obtain a DoD clearance (Secret preferred).

Essential Skills

Experience supporting space/defense programs, preferred.

Familiarity with real-time embedded systems.

Experience with CI/CD, DevSecOps, or automation tools.

Integration and lab testing experience.

Prior DoD or IC program exposure.

Work Environment

This is an onsite, desk-job position located in Redondo Beach, CA, within a highly collaborative and large team environment.

Pay And Benefits

The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $100.00/hr.
