About the Role
Support Amada Software users by performing software support tasks as part of a team. The position requires experience with Sheet Metal CNC Machine Operation and/or CNC Programming. You will support Amada Solution Software Applications, including CAD/CAM, Nesting, DNC Communication, and Bending offline programming software. Daily responsibilities involve troubleshooting, installation, and customer support from design to final output code for Press Brakes, Lasers, Turrets, and Combination Punch/Laser machines.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, document, and research software issues.
- Perform data entry, review, verification, and consultation for customer cases.
- Install software and provide technical assistance to customers via phone, email, and chat.
- Log and escalate cases/tickets to ensure customer satisfaction and resolution.
- Act as a primary point of contact for technical support of Amada Software Solution Applications.
- Ask targeted questions to quickly identify the root of technical problems.
- Prioritize and manage multiple open issues simultaneously.
- Follow up with customers to ensure full functionality after troubleshooting.
- Provide prompt and accurate feedback to customers.
- Log all issues thoroughly and maintain professional customer relationships.
- Provide verbal and written step-by-step technical assistance.
- Engage in continuous learning of software applications, Windows, hardware, and networking.
Requirements
- CAD/CAM software knowledge in one or more of the following: AP100US, Fabriwin, Dr.ABE Bend, Dr.ABE_Blank, Dr.ABE Tube, Sheetworks, Solidworks, VPSS3i Blank, VPSS3i Bend.
- Experience with Punch Turret, Laser Cutting, Nesting, and Bending concepts.
- Familiarity with Communication DNC concepts and manufacturing, engineering, or design principles.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and Windows OS (XP, 7, 10, 11, Server, Advanced).
- Network IT experience and knowledge of C++ & .NET.
- Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
Skills
- CNC Programming with CAD/CAM software.
- Experience with CNC machines: Press Brake, Turret, Laser, and Nesting.
- Bending simulation program experience.
- Communication DNC software experience.
- Basic to intermediate computer technical skills.
- Network IT experience and C++ & .NET knowledge.
Qualifications
- Ability to read blueprints or 2D/3D files and interpret them for fabrication.
- Knowledge of measurement instruments.
- G-Code and M-Code knowledge for Amada equipment.
- Familiarity with M-Codes for non-standard tools to maintain machine standardization.
- Proven self-starter with a high sense of ownership and initiative.
- Hands-on experience with Windows OS environments.
- IT background or education.
Pay
$40–$43 per hour.
