Software Solution Architect

About the role

The selected candidate will be responsible for all phases of the System Development Life Cycle for complex projects, including both new development and maintenance tasks.

Responsibilities

• Guide the technical design for modernization of legacy systems
• Coordinate technical solutions among various technical support groups
• Make changes in multiple systems in real time to enable changes requested by user groups
• Implement technical solutions
• Develop tax processing system components and maintain existing processing systems
• Support production tasks including analysis of issues, proposing and implementing solutions for defect resolution
• Coordinate with development team on development activities and integration testing
• Develop technical design documents and program specifications
• Guide requirements gathering sessions
• Guide the analysis of requirements and system design work
• Code and perform unit and integration tests of programming assignments
• Write and tune SQL
• Support user testing efforts
• Performance tune new and existing applications
• Mentor less experienced staff

Requirements

• 84 months experience in designing processes (Choreography/Orchestration Processes) using technologies like WebSphere Process Server (WPS), IBM CP4BA (BAW – IBM Cloud Pak for Business Automation), IBM CP4I (IBM Cloud Pak for Integration)
• 84 months experience in design, development, and management of Business Rules Architecture System involving Rules Entry UI System invoking portable Runtime Engine deployable in WPS (WebSphere Process Server), Decision Service Design and Development using ADS (Automation Decision Services – IBM Cloud Pak for Automation CP4BA)
• 84 months experience with SOA Component Development Architecture using J2EE Technologies (JMS, CTG, IBM EAD4J, JADE, Spring Framework, BPEL, IBM SCA/SDO Component Architecture) and working with development tools like Elastic, Jenkins, GitLab, and JFROG
• 84 months experience in system analysis and design for multi-tiered transactional systems and writing technical documents for multifaceted component-based systems
• 84 months experience with Java Programming in an IBM Development Environment using IBM’s Rational Application Developer (RAD), WebSphere Integration Developer (WID), and using WebSphere Application Server (WAS)/WebSphere Process Server as Runtime Environments
• 36 months experience using IBM Red Hat OpenShift Cloud Platform and Micro Services Architecture
• 84 months of experience in Java Messaging Services using IBM MQ Series, IBM CP4I MQ (IBM Cloud Pak for Integration)
• 84 months of experience in IBM DB2 Data Modeling, creating logical Data Models, performance tuning of applications interacting with database systems
