About the role

EPIC is a fintech company focused on the automotive industry, providing software solutions to dealers and lenders. As a Software Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability, functionality, and security of our career application software within the Business Operations department.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts to validate software functionality and performance.
  • Identify, document, and track software defects using bug-tracking tools.
  • Collaborate with development teams to reproduce, debug, and resolve issues.
  • Perform regression testing to ensure software stability after updates or changes.
  • Conduct functional, integration, system, and user acceptance testing.
  • Ensure compliance with security and data protection standards, including best practices for data security.
  • Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and other Agile ceremonies.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of QA processes and tools.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a QA Engineer or similar role in software development.
  • Experience testing web-based applications and APIs.
  • Familiarity with test management tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail) and automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress).
  • Strong understanding of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
  • Knowledge of security and compliance standards relevant to fintech or automotive industries.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote environment.

Skills

  • Proficiency in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases.
  • Experience with SQL and database testing.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality software.
