Software QA Engineer
Your Project
We build and maintain software applications used worldwide to collect, process, exploit, analyze, and visualize intelligence data in near real-time. These applications are both thick-client and web-based. They execute on Linux, Windows, MacOS, and Android.
What You'll Do
- Support the testing and evaluation of features and capabilities.
- Create and execute test plans for software features.
- Provide feedback to software development staff regarding usability, workflows, and capabilities.
- Interface with government customers on a routine basis to discuss requirements, software development progress, bug fixes, training, and other technical support.
Minimum Requirements
- Must be US Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI clearance.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, systems engineering, or related field. Four additional years of experience may be substituted for a degree.
- Five (5) years of experience in intelligence data collection, planning, and exploitation.
- Five (5) years of experience with Testing and Evaluation.
Preferred Skills
- Current TS/SCI clearance.
- Eight (8) years of experience as a trainer and/or subject matter expert.
- Working knowledge of the various components and missions within the Intelligence Community and Department of Defense.
- Field exercise planning and execution.
- Wireless communications protocols.
- Python.
- Understanding of Agile methodologies, specifically frequent, iterative releases that rely on user feedback to refine features over time.
- SW Testing tools and practices.
- Exposure to GIS technologies.
Pay Transparency
To support pay transparency, Vantor includes salary ranges in all U.S. job postings. Starting pay for this role will fall within the listed range and will be based on factors such as experience, qualifications, skills, location, and market conditions. Candidates who meet the minimum requirements for the role should not expect to receive compensation at the top of the range. The listed range reflects the expected pay for this position, and final offers will be determined based on each candidate’s experience, expertise, and alignment with the role. The base pay for this position within Colorado is: $90,000.00 - $120,000.00 - $132,000.00 annually. For all other states, we use geographic cost of labor as an input to develop market-driven ranges for our roles, and as such, each location where we hire may have a different range.
