Software or Systems Engineers - Flight Controls
About the role
We are seeking an Avionics Software or Systems Engineer to join our team. This position can be either directly employed in one of our office locations or as a remote contract. Our offices are located in Phoenix, AZ, Cedar Rapids, IA, Grand Rapids, MI, Bothell, WA, Lexington, KY, and New Orleans, LA.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain high-quality software for avionics and flight controls systems
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project success
- Contribute to the design and implementation of embedded software solutions
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to code quality improvements
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies
Requirements
- Bachelor's or advanced degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Systems Engineering, Mathematics, or equivalent development experience
- Significant experience in Avionics Flight Controls software
- Strong skills in object-oriented languages such as C++, C#, Python, etc.
- Experience with software development methodologies like Waterfall, Agile, etc.
- Demonstrated teamwork and leadership abilities
- Embedded software experience is required

Pay
The pay range for this position is $75/hr - $110/hr - DOE for contract positions and $75,000 - $145,000 - DOE for direct hires.
Schedule
Hours and schedule are flexible and can be discussed during the interview process.
