Software Lead

The Software Lead role offers architectural leadership across multiple software products and development teams. This position is responsible for shaping an integrated application ecosystem that supports independent product evolution while ensuring seamless connectivity through APIs and shared technical standards. The role influences engineering decisions and directly contributes to design, coding, and implementation of key solutions, collaborating with various stakeholders to align technical direction with organizational goals.

Responsibilities

• Define and evolve system architecture across products, services, APIs, user interfaces, and data platforms
• Provide architectural guidance to multiple development teams without direct management
• Design integration patterns for scalable and interoperable systems
• Develop application features, integration services, and reusable components
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align architecture with product objectives and operational needs
• Evaluate technical tradeoffs and communicate recommendations to technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Establish engineering standards for API design, development, security, performance, and deployment
• Contribute to user interface architecture using frameworks like Angular and React
• Support database architecture and data-access strategies for SQL and NoSQL technologies
• Assist in modernizing legacy systems and reducing technical debt
• Provide technical direction for integrations related to healthcare revenue cycle management workflows
• Assess and contribute to telephony and messaging API solutions
• Participate in design, code, and production-readiness reviews and technical planning
• Perform other related duties as assigned

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience
• Minimum 7 years of professional software development experience with full-stack or back-end environments
• At least 3 years of technical leadership experience guiding architecture and engineering across teams or products
• Proven experience designing and implementing APIs, service integrations, web applications, and database systems
• Experience with modern front-end frameworks such as Angular and/or React
• Proficiency with SQL databases; NoSQL experience preferred
• Preferably experience in healthcare, revenue cycle management, financial workflows, or complex operational domains
• Familiarity with telephony, messaging, automation, cloud platforms, CI/CD, containerization, or distributed systems is a plus
• Strong systems-thinking, problem-solving, communication, and collaborative skills

Pay

$150,000 - $180,000
