About the role

The Software Lead and Integration Manager leads a U.S. Space Force team of physicists, systems engineers, and software developers in developing efficient and effective software to support both U.S. Air Force and U.S. Navy end users. This role involves leading a cross-functional team responsible for evaluating physics-based concepts, designing and testing software, and implementing end-to-end solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate physics-based concepts and design software solutions
  • Translate scientific needs into scalable, mission-driven software solutions
  • Collaborate across disciplines to develop software solutions
  • Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to stakeholders
  • Drive alignment between scientific objectives and software development efforts
  • Lead highly technical teams
  • Read, program, and review code across the stack
  • Provide strategic direction and mentorship to engineering and science personnel

Requirements

  • Experience with scientific concepts related to radio frequency (RF), the electromagnetic spectrum, or space weather
  • Experience with full stack development
  • Experience interacting with technical and non-technical audiences at varying levels
  • Ability to read and program in Python, JavaScript, or C/C++, and in frameworks such as React, Angular, REST, or GraphQL
  • Ability to coordinate and drive outcomes across various cross-functional teams such as science, software, hardware, and systems engineering

Qualifications

  • Top Secret clearance
  • Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field such as Physics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Mathematics

Skills

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to obtain Security+ certification within two months of hire date

Pay

The projected compensation range for this position is $86,800.00 to $198,000.00 (annualized USD).

Schedule

Work will primarily be performed at a Booz Allen office or customer facility, where employees will collaborate directly with colleagues and customers as required by the role.
