About the role

The role is for a DevSecOps Software Engineer to support the IFICS Data Terminal (IDT) product team on the Ground Based Mid-course Defense (GMD) Weapon System (GWS) program.

Responsibilities

  • Drive unification and automation of processes to enable development of software capability across the entire GWS system.
  • Instrumental in combining code, application maintenance, and application management.
  • Understand and coordinate with DevSecOps and engineering teams to optimize steps within the DevSecOps ecosystem.
  • Create and maintain fully automated Continuous Integration (CI) build processes, including writing builds and deployment scripts.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university and 5 Years with Bachelors in Science; 4 Years with Masters; 2 Years with PhD.
  • Able to acquire a DOD 8570 IAT Level II certification within 60 days from the start date (ex: Security + CE).
  • Experience developing object oriented software in C++, Java, Python.
  • Experience with CI/CD best practices, automated builds and tests, quality gates, software quality, and CI tools and pipelines.
  • Familiarity with security coding standard best practices, static and dynamic scanning tools, i.e., SonarQube, Coverity, etc.
  • Recent Experience working with cloud technologies and platforms such as Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services (AWS), and Google Cloud.
  • Recent Experience with Agile practices and principles to deliver high quality products and services.
  • Communicates effectively, both internally and externally to team.
  • US Citizenship, with a active DoD Secret clearance.
  • Able to support an in-person, closed-area work environment 100% of the time.

Qualifications

  • Must be able to support an in-person, closed-area work environment 100% of the time as part of the IDT product team.

Skills

  • Prior experience working on Missile Defense programs.
  • Prior experience working using DOORS.
  • Prior experience using Atlassian Tools.
  • Familiar with Agile terminology and best practices.
  • Prior experience as a Product Owner.
  • Familiar with Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and Cameo.
  • Familiar with automated software requirements testing and analysis.
