We need to output HTML fragment with sections: headings

for sections like About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Qualifications, Skills, Benefits, Pay, Schedule. Only include sections that have real specific content. We need to parse the posting. Content: - Application window close date: "The application window is expected to close on: 09/17/2026". That's metadata; we can put in a short

maybe. - "Meet The Team" heading? Not needed as heading? Could be part of About the role? We'll treat as About the role. Paragraph: "The Cisco Distributed System Engineering (DSE) group owns the development of products that power the world’s largest networks, driving the industry’s transformation to support the growing demands of AI/ML workloads and increasing internet usage. By using open-source technologies and advancing Systems and Silicon Architecture, the team builds large-scale distributed systems, collaborates with open-source communities, and delivers end-to-end product development and production support in a fast-paced environment." - "Your Impact" heading: could be About the role? Actually "Your Impact" could be a section describing role impact. Could be part of About the role or Responsibilities. We'll treat as About the role. Paragraph: "As a Networking Engineer, you'll join an agile team engaged in the design, development and testing data-center features set in Cisco 8000 Platform using SONiC network operating system. In this role you’ll have chance to define, develop and learn about many feature sets such as L2/L3 forwarding, ACLs, QoS, Mirroring, etc. Building and delivering data plane and control plane software Developing ‘forwarding’ and ‘services’ data plane feature sets Coding in C++ and Python to produce clean, maintainable code" That's responsibilities. - Minimum Qualifications: list. - Preferred Qualifications: list. - Why Cisco?: could be About the company? Could be Benefits? Actually it's about company culture; could be a section "About Cisco" but not in allowed headings. We could put under "About the role" or maybe "Benefits"? Not exactly. The allowed headings: About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Qualifications, Skills, Benefits, Pay, Schedule. "Why Cisco?" could be considered "About the role" or maybe "Benefits"? It's more about company. Could be omitted? But we need to preserve all substantive information. We could include it under "About the role" as a paragraph. - Message to applicants about salary range: includes Pay details. So we need a Pay section with the salary range. - Benefits: description of benefits (medical, dental, vision, 401k, parental leave, disability, life insurance, stock units, PTO, sick time, volunteer days, bonuses). So we need Benefits section. - Schedule: not mentioned explicitly. No schedule info. So we should not create Schedule section. - Requirements: maybe combine Minimum Qualifications and Preferred Qualifications? Could have Requirements section (minimum) and Qualifications (preferred). Or we could have Requirements for minimum, Qualifications for preferred. We'll follow that. - Skills: maybe list specific skills like C++, Python, Linux, debugging tools, GIT, Jira, Jenkins, CI/CD, networking protocols, etc. Could be a Skills section. We need to avoid boilerplate: remove cookie/navigation/legal/EEO/equal-opportunity/scam-warning boilerplate, duplicated lines, application instructions. There's no explicit boilerplate besides maybe the "Message to applicants applying to work in the U.S. and/or Canada:" which is part of Pay/Benefits. Keep. We must not repeat job title as heading. Not needed. We must not put Job ID/requisition numbers as headings. We must preserve all substantive information. We need to output only HTML fragment. Let's structure:

Application window expected to close on 09/17/2026.

About the role

The Cisco Distributed System Engineering (DSE) group owns the development of products that power the world’s largest networks, driving the industry’s transformation to support the growing demands of AI/ML workloads and increasing internet usage. By using open-source technologies and advancing Systems and Silicon Architecture, the team builds large-scale distributed systems, collaborates with open-source communities, and delivers end-to-end product development and production support in a fast-paced environment. As a Networking Engineer, you'll join an agile team engaged in the design, development and testing data-center features set in Cisco 8000 Platform using SONiC network operating system. In this role you’ll have chance to define, develop and learn about many feature sets such as L2/L3 forwarding, ACLs, QoS, Mirroring, etc. Building and delivering data plane and control plane software Developing ‘forwarding’ and ‘services’ data plane feature sets Coding in C++ and Python to produce clean, maintainable code. At Cisco, we’re revolutionizing how data and infrastructure connect and protect organizations in the AI era – and beyond. We’ve been innovating fearlessly for 40 years to create solutions that power how humans and technology work together across the physical and digital worlds. These solutions provide customers with unparalleled security, visibility, and insights across the entire digital footprint. Fueled by the depth and breadth of our technology, we experiment and create meaningful solutions. Add to that our worldwide network of doers and experts, and you’ll see that the opportunities to grow and build are limitless. We work as a team, collaborating with empathy to make really big things happen on a global scale. Because our solutions are everywhere, our impact is everywhere. We are Cisco, and our power starts with you.

That's a bit long but okay.

Responsibilities

Maybe we already covered responsibilities in About the role. Could split: Responsibilities: design, development, testing, building data plane/control plane, coding in C++/Python. Let's extract. But we already included many responsibilities in About the role. To avoid duplication, we could keep About the role as general description, and Responsibilities as bullet list. Let's craft:

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and test data‑center features for the Cisco 8000 Platform using SONiC network operating system.
  • Define, develop, and learn about feature sets such as L2/L3 forwarding, ACLs, QoS, Mirroring, etc.
  • Build and deliver data plane and control plane software.
  • Develop ‘forwarding’ and ‘services’ data plane feature sets.
  • Code in C++ and Python to produce clean, maintainable code.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree + 12 years of related experience, or Master’s + 8 years, or PhD + 5 years.
  • 5+ years of programming experience in C/C++.
  • 3+ years of experience using Python to build automated test suites for kernel module validation, including experience with frameworks like Pytest.
  • 3+ years of experience with Linux.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of Linux Kernel.
  • Knowledge of Open Standard Networking Systems and APIs: SONiC, SAI, etc.
  • Knowledge of Networking protocols such as TCP/IP, BGP, VxLAN, EVPN, ACLs.
  • Experience using debugging tools such as GDB, PDB.
  • Understanding of tools such as GIT, Jira, Jenkins and CI/CD pipeline tools.

Skills

Maybe we can combine Qualifications and Skills; but we already have Qualifications as preferred. Skills could be technical skills: C++, Python, Linux, debugging, GIT, Jira, Jenkins, CI/CD, networking protocols. But that duplicates. Perhaps we can omit Skills section and keep Qualifications as preferred. The instruction: Prefer a few substantive sections over many thin ones. So we could merge Qualifications and Skills into one section called Qualifications (or Requirements). But we already have Requirements (minimum) and Qualifications (preferred). That's two sections, okay. We need Benefits and Pay.

Benefits

  • Medical, dental and vision insurance.
  • 401(k) plan with Cisco matching contribution.
  • Paid parental leave.
  • Short and long‑term disability coverage.
  • Basic life insurance.
  • Eligibility for Cisco restricted stock units (vesting after continued employment).
  • Paid time away: 10 paid holidays per full calendar year plus 1 floating holiday for non‑exempt employees; 1 paid day off for employee’s birthday; paid year‑end holiday shutdown; 4 paid days off for personal wellness determined by Cisco.
  • Non‑exempt employees receive 16 days of paid vacation per full calendar year, accrued at 4.92 hours per pay period for full‑time employees.
  • Exempt employees participate in Cisco’s flexible vacation time off program with no defined limit (subject to availability and business limitations).
  • 80 hours of sick time off provided on hire date and each January 1st thereafter, with up to 80 hours of unused sick time carried forward.
  • Optional 10 paid days per full calendar year to volunteer.
  • Eligibility for annual bonuses (non‑sales roles) subject to Cisco’s policies.

Pay

The starting salary range for this position is $214,100.00 to $309,800.00 for U.S. and/or Canada locations (not including incentive compensation, equity, or benefits). Individual pay is determined by hiring location, market conditions, job‑related skillset, experience, qualifications, education, certifications, and/or training. For quota‑based sales roles on Cisco’s sales plan, the ranges include base pay and sales target incentive compensation combined. Employees in Illinois, whether exempt or non‑exempt, will participate in a unique time off program to meet local requirements.

We should also include the note about Message to applicants applying to work in the U.S. and/or Canada: we already covered. We should not include Schedule section. We need to ensure we didn't include any boilerplate like EEO etc. Not present. Check for duplicated lines: we have not repeated. Check for any content missing: The "Your Impact" paragraph we integrated into About the role and Responsibilities. The "Meet The Team" paragraph we used in About the role. The "Why Cisco?" paragraph we included in About the role. The "Message to applicants..." we used in Pay section. We also need to include the note about "Employees may be eligible to receive grants of Cisco restricted stock units..." we included. We also need to include the note about "Employees On Sales Plans Earn Performance-based Incentive Pay..." we included in Pay section. We also need to include the note about "For non-sales roles, employees are also eligible to earn annual bonuses subject to Cisco’s policies." we included. We also need to include the note about "Employees may be eligible to receive grants of Cisco restricted stock units..." we included. We also need to include the note about "Employees may be eligible to receive grants of Cisco restricted stock units, which vest following continued employment with Cisco for defined periods of time." we included. We also need to include the note about "U.S. employees
