Responsibilities
- Accountable for leading and managing a team of software engineers across multiple delivery teams, providing mentorship to enhance skills and career development, and conducting regular performance evaluations.
- Sets clear goals and objectives for the software engineering team, aligned with the product roadmap and organizational objectives.
- Collaborates with cross-functional teams, product managers, and stakeholders to define project scope, deliverables, and timelines.
- Oversees the software development lifecycle, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery of software projects.
- Stays updated on industry trends, technologies, and best practices, incorporating them into the team's workflow when applicable.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience leading software application delivery teams is required.
- Experience with modern software design principles (e.g., microservices, API-first architecture, cloud-native development, CI/CD, and secure coding practices).
- Proficiency in object-oriented programming concepts and languages (C# preferred).
- Experience with Microsoft SQL Server or similar RDBMS.
- Experience in DevOps practices, including continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD), infrastructure as code (IaC), automated testing, and monitoring.
- Experience building and maintaining web and mobile applications using the Microsoft stack, including C#/.NET Core and Azure, is preferred.
- Experience with emerging software delivery trends (e.g. low-code/no-code platforms, AI-native development) is preferred.
