Position Overview
Lead cross-functional engineering and software development initiatives, overseeing planning, execution, delivery, and operational support. Develop and execute engineering strategies, roadmaps, budgets, scorecards, and resource plans aligned with organizational objectives. Manage and mentor engineering, agile, and CI/CD teams through coaching, performance management, career development, and continuous feedback. Drive operational excellence by improving processes, tooling, automation, quality standards, and delivery methodologies including Agile, DevOps, ATDD, and CI/CD practices. Oversee the design, development, integration, and support of scalable enterprise applications, infrastructure, and microservices-based solutions using modern platforms and technologies. Ensure reliability, scalability, security, compliance, and operational readiness through monitoring, incident response, risk mitigation, and adherence to organizational standards and policies. Conduct technical oversight activities including code reviews, troubleshooting, standards enforcement, testing strategies, and optimization of software performance and developer productivity. Research and implement emerging technologies, AI capabilities, and industry best practices to enhance innovation, engineering efficiency, and long-term organizational growth.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from four-year College or University OR equivalent combination of education and experience
- 3+ years of experience in leading or managing software engineering activities
- Experience with team building, developing, and motivating employees
- Experience leading a Scrum team and participating in Agile ceremonies (e.g. daily standups, backlog grooming, sprint planning, sprint demos/retrospectives)
- Highly proficient in .NET and OO Design Principles
- Highly proficient with JavaScript and JS Frameworks (e.g. React, Angular)
- Fluent in the design, development, and consumption of Restful API’s
- Experience with Microsoft Azure offerings (e.g. Service Bus, API Management)
- Experience with Azure DevOps (e.g. Repos, Pipelines)
- Knowledgeable of DevOps practices, automation, and continuous integration pipelines
- Experience using AI in software development, testing, and deployment
