About the role
Kick-start your career with Mercury Ignite: a 12-month structured Graduate Program in Application Development. The program offers hands-on experience across real business projects, rotations through key verticals within Application Development, and a dedicated role at the end of the program. You’ll strengthen your skills with access to LinkedIn Learning and the CodeSignal Learn platform, while an assigned buddy supports your culture fit and helps you thrive from day one.
Responsibilities
- Rotate through assignments in different areas of Application Development, building a solid foundation in software engineering concepts, tools, quality engineering, and processes.
- Develop a strong understanding of relevant product areas, codebases, and systems.
- Write high-quality code for simple scenarios with good test coverage.
- Help with any Application System Support needs.
- Participate in Review of Design and Application code to ensure Best Practices, Adherence to Mercury Standards, and High Quality.
Requirements
- Be legally eligible to work in the U.S.
- Recently completed a Bachelors (BS/BA) or Masters (MS/MA) degree in an information technology field (computer science, Electrical engineering, Mathematics, or Data science).
- Able to provide a cumulative GPA, as reported by your school. Minimum 3.0 GPA required, 3.5 or higher GPA preferred.
- Graduation date on or after November 2025.
- Planning to seek full-time employment by June 2026.
Skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication.
- Good problem-solving skills.
- Willingness to independently learn and make an impact within a team environment.
- Strong programming skills in at least one of the following: Java, JavaScript, Python.
- Good understanding of different data structures and algorithms.
- Preferred but not required: experience with AI, SQL, and Git/GitHub/GitLab.
