Responsibilities
- Perform functions on projects such as scope and requirement documentation, test case development, and user acceptance testing
- Support the businesses’ day-to-day activities and system usage / entitlement
- Act as a liaison between the businesses and IT
- Understand business processes and partnering on system and process changes
- Support the design, construction and implementation phases of a system and or upgrade project
- Apply skills to help solve problems for various business partners: Equipment automation and overall factory management, IC and software design engineers, and Finance and Operations / Marketing / Supply Chain
- Use web development, programming (C, C++, JAVA, PERL, HTML, SQL) and scripting skills in Unix or Windows environment and potentially using Oracle or similar database system in the backend
- Administer client/server databases (e.g., Oracle, Microsoft) or support Enterprise UNIX environments (patch / version management)
- Develop and execute security controls, defenses and countermeasures to intercept and prevent internal or external attacks or attempts to infiltrate company email, data, e-commerce and web-based systems
- Manage and maintain a large install base of computers running various operating system (ie. Unix, Oracle, SAP, Windows)
- Plan, design and implement local and wide-area network solutions between multiple platforms and protocols (including IP and VOIP)
- Mainframe system and application provisioning/support using JCL, TSO, ISPF and Assembly/COBOL programming languages
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer engineering, software engineering, or related field
- Cumulative 3.0/4.0 GPA or higher
- Proficiency in one or more programming languages (C, C++, Java, Python, or similar) and experience building or maintaining production software systems
- Working knowledge of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, load balancing, VLANs) and operating systems (Windows, Linux/Unix), including experience in on-premises, data center, or hybrid cloud environments
- Experience with cloud platform services (AWS, Azure, or GCP), including infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation) or container orchestration (Kubernetes, Docker)
- Exposure to CI/CD pipeline development, platform engineering, or DevOps practices in an enterprise or production environment
- Demonstrated strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Able to work effectively in teams and collaborate across functions
- Strong time management skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated ability to take initiative and drive results under ambiguity
