Software Engineering Co-op

Qualifications

• Education: Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s of Science Engineering Program in the applicable engineering discipline of the co-op position (Mechanical, Electrical, Software) or related field from an accredited university.
• Experience: Personal or academic-based engineering project experience required. Team-oriented attitude with a strong desire to learn and contribute. Strong problem-solving and computer skills required.
• Preferred Qualifications: Previous Co-op, Internship Or Other Employment Experience Is Preferred.

Major Areas of Accountability

• Promotes teamwork, cooperation and commitment to “Total Customer Satisfaction” among team members.
• Cooperates as a member of the TMS team.
• Provide support to Engineering Team as required for efficient customer needs.
• Learn as much as possible about practical engineering work experience.
• Engage in regular team meetings, contributing insights, asking questions and providing project updates.
• Gains as much practical experience in the workplace related to area of study by shadowing the Engineering team members, learning the relevant tools, systems and products and completing assigned projects and tasks.
• Take on special engineering projects or process improvement initiatives assigned by supervisors to support the team’s operational efficiency.
• Interact with cross-functional teams, including Quality, Production, and Sales, to gain a holistic view of the product development lifecycle.
• Take occasional business trips to customer’s sites or strategic partners’ sites for engineering projects or customer needs.
