Software Engineer / Technical Associate - Onsite

About the role

We are looking for a highly technical Technical Analyst / Associate to join our team. This role is ideal for a strong software engineer who is interested in applying their technical skills within a venture investing environment focused on B2B technology, FinTech, and DeepTech. Hands-on software engineering ability is the most important qualification for this role. Prior venture capital or investment experience is not required and can be learned on the job.

Responsibilities

• Apply technical expertise to evaluate and support portfolio companies and potential investments.
• Conduct deep technical due diligence on software systems, architectures, and engineering practices.
• Collaborate with investment and portfolio teams to identify technical risks and opportunities.
• Assist in sourcing and evaluating new investment opportunities through technical analysis.
• Provide hands-on engineering support to portfolio companies as needed.

Requirements

• Strong software engineering background with hands-on experience in designing, building, and debugging complex systems.
• Proficiency in multiple programming languages and frameworks relevant to B2B technology, FinTech, or DeepTech.
• Experience with modern software development practices, including testing, deployment, and DevOps.
• Ability to quickly learn and evaluate new technologies and domains.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
