Software Engineer / Technical Associate - Onsite

Role Overview

We are looking for a highly technical Technical Analyst / Associate to join our team. This role is ideal for a strong software engineer who is interested in applying their technical skills within a venture investing environment focused on B2B technology, FinTech, and DeepTech. Hands-on software engineering ability is the most important qualification for this role. Prior venture capital or investment experience is not required and can be learned on the job.

Responsibilities

• Conduct deep technical due diligence on potential investment opportunities, including reviewing codebases, architecture decisions, and engineering practices.
• Build and maintain internal tools, dashboards, and data pipelines to support investment decisions and portfolio monitoring.
• Collaborate with investment partners to evaluate technical teams and product roadmaps.
• Work closely with portfolio companies on technical challenges, architecture reviews, and engineering hiring.
• Translate complex technical concepts into clear insights for non-technical investment partners.

Qualifications

• Strong software engineering background with proficiency in at least one modern programming language (e.g., Python, Java, C++, Go, or TypeScript).
• Experience with cloud infrastructure, APIs, and distributed systems.
• Ability to quickly understand new technologies and codebases.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

Pay
